Code: 12743
This is an intact copper-alloy La Tene III/Nauheim derivative-type bow brooch dating to the late Iron Age or early Roman period. This example is complete with its original sprung pin (which is rare with this type of brooch). These were used to pin and fasten woollen fabrics together. See SUR-04B794, NARC-A9F8DD and WAW-047022 for other recorded examples from Britain. This is a wonderful example with a nice patina.
