This is a rare Iron Age (Celtic) silver finger ring, dating to the 5th - 3rd century B.C. The hoop of the ring is solid, designed to imitate a twisted spiral with deep grooves cut into the band. This ring is related to the bronze torc of a similar date. Attributed to the La Tène culture and of an elite or nobleman. A nice and original early ring that can still be worn today!
