This is a Saxon silver penny of King Æthelred II, minted at London by the moneyer ÆLFRIC (+ÆLFRIC M-O LVND). +ÆÐELRÆD REX ANGLO. It is a full round coin, well struck but with a heavy knife peck mark from use in Viking held territory.
