This is an ancient Roman silver bracelet, dating to the 1st century AD. The penannular shaped bracelet is decorated with a torque twist design. The bracelet thickens towards the centre and the terminals taper. Such a bracelet would have been worn on the wrist of a nobleman or as an oath bracelet. This is a fine wearable example in excavated condition.
