This is an ancient Roman silver finger ring, dating to the 4th - 5th century A.D. It appears to me, to fall within the Kaballistic, Magic or religious genre of inscribed rings from Pannonia and Britain (see PDF here). These rings are very rare if fully translated and transcribed. The lettering is of 'canonized capitals', with several Greek letters, others are upside down and on the side. There is a cross shape which may be the starting point, or used midway as on other magic rings (Fig. 5. Cat. 25, 27–28.) Either way this ring certainly fits with other known magical rings, whom or what the dedicatory inscription refers to has yet to be deciphered. A nice looking piece with a good presence about it!
