This is a Scandinavian Viking/Medieval silver finger ring, dating to the 10th - 12th century A.D. The ring is formed from a solid cast ring, cut to imitate a twisted ring made from two rods. This example is a good piece of Viking age jewelry, similar examples recorded SUSS-588B26, KENT-4D4DB5and SUR-C33FB2. A nice historic ring in excavated condition that can still be worn today.
