This is a nice Scandinavian Viking finger ring, dating to the 9th - 10th century A.D. The penannular ring has been cast in bronze, having a twisted design to the hoop. Such a ring would have likely been worn by a young lady or adolescent. It appears one of the terminals is missing, though is relatively intact and in excavated condition.
