This is a medieval silver penny of King Henry III of England, struck at the Canterbury Mint between 1216 - 1247 AD. 

Obverse: ҺЄNRICVS RЄX (King Henry) Legend around crowned facing bust, holding sceptre.

Reverse: +IOAN ON CANTE (Joan of Canterbury).  Legend around voided cross, with four pellets in angles.

It is a beautiful and bold example of a good weight in VF condition.
