This is a medieval silver penny of King John of England, struck at the Canterbury Mint between 1199 - 1216 AD. 

Obverse: ҺЄNRICVS RЄX (King Henry) Legend around crowned facing bust, holding sceptre.

Reverse: +ARNAVD ON CAN (Arnaud of Canterbury) Legend around voided cross, with four pellets in angles.

It is a good example in VF condition and of a good weight.
