Gold 1/4 Noble of King Henry VI, minted at Calais between 1430 - 1431 AD. This coin would have circulated within England and France around the time of the demise of Joan of Arc 

Obverse inscription:  hENRIC DI GRA REX AnGL (Henry by the grace of God King of England)

Obverse description: quartered shield of arms within double tressure of eight arcs, legend surrounds.

Reverse inscription:  EXALTABITVR In GLORIA (He shall be exalted in glory)

Reverse description: Lis in central compartment of ornate cross with lis terminals, lion over trefoil in each angle, all within beaded and linear tressure of eight arcs, Latin legend and beaded border surrounding, initial mark Large Fleur.
