Silver Groat (4d) of King Henry VI (1422-61), first reign, Groat, Calais mint, annulet issue (1422-30)

Obverse inscription:  +HENRIC DI GRA REX ANGL Z FRANC "Henry By The Grace of God King of England and France"

Obverse description: facing crowned bust, annulet on either side of neck, saltire stops. 

Reverse inscription: +POSVI DEVM A DIVTOR E MEVM / VILLA CALISIE. "I have made God my helper / Town of Calais"

Reverse description: long cross fourchee, trefoil of pellets in angles, annulets in two quarters.
