This is a late Medieval/Renaissance silver finger ring, dating to the 15th - 16th century A.D. The ring is set with a red garnet gemstone, within a cusped bezel. Similar rings have been recorded in gold, dated top the late Medieval and Tudor period. There is a bend in the hoop of the ring, probably caused by post-depositional damage. The ring is otherwise intact and still wearable with care.
