This is a Tudor silver groat of king Henry VIII, minted in Bristol between 1546 - 1547. It bears the WS monogram for Sir William Sharington, vice-treasurer of the mint at Bristol (portrait by Holbein). This historic coin has witnessed plenty of circulation, though has a reasonable portrait and monogram.
