This is a delightful Renaissance gold and ruby pendant, dating to the 16th century. It would have been set with seven pink table-cut rubies of various shapes and sizes, three of which remain. It retains the three suspension loops that would have secured three hanging pearls. A rare pendant from the age of King Henry VIII (and The Tudors) in excavated condition.
