This is a nice Renaissance billion silver finger ring, dating to the 16th - 17th century A.D. The ring has a round flat bezel, engraved with a pair of hearts joined by a lover's knot.
This ring has survived in excavated condition, the base silver has darkened deep brown (similar to 'black money' as issued in France during the medieval period). It is intact and can still be worn today.
