This is a large and impressive silver-gilt pectoral crucifix pendant, dating to the mid 16th century. The body of the cross is hollow, formed from sheet silver in a pyramidal shape. The corpus is solid and attached to the cross, so too the Skull of Adam.at the base of the cross. It is intact with the original suspension ring and mercurial gold gilding.
