Code: 11639
This is a superb Tudor period silver-gilt finger ring, dating to the mid 16th century. The large ring has an ornate and sculpted bezel, set with a polished dark glass or stone. Finger rings of this type were very fashionable during the Renaissance, usually set with bright enamel. This example would not have been out of place at the court of King Henry VIII.
