This is a wonderful Tudor period vellum portrait miniature, painted in oils of a bearded gentleman in a white ruff collar. It had been suggested to me of the resemblance to Sir Francis Walsingham. Queen Elizabeth's "Spymaster". It is unresearched and in good antique condition, likely removed from a pendant frame. A nice object worthy of further research!
