This is a nice Renaissance silver finger ring, dating to the 16th century. It is set with a blue turquoise gemstone in a rubbed over mount. The gem has fallen into the socket of the bezel but appears intact and restorable. Turquoise was believed to protect riders from falling off horses as well as other magical uses in healing. A good Tudor period ring in good antique condition.
