This is a charming Renaissance silver-gilt devotional pendant, dating to the 16th - early 17th century AD. The pendant is set with two original and unrestored Verre églomisé panels depicting the Stations of the Cross in gold gilt and black paint. The other panel is very worn. The covers appear to be of natural rock crystal and are faceted. The panels are held in a silver mount with a toothed setting. It is a rare and interesting devotional jewel in good antique condition.
