Code: 12110
This is a nice 17th-century portrait of an unknown gentleman, painted on what appears to be vellum or a playing card, in watercolour. The sitter is seen wearing a blue coat, with a white stock and chemise and powdered periwig. He is set in the original 18k gold pendant frame, behind a rock crystal cover. The bail is of gilt metal and not gold. It is in excellent condition and suitable for research.
