This is a nice 17th-century gold posy ring, inscribed with "I am thy lott refuse me nott" in italic lettering. The sentiment is recorded (Evans 1931, 49). Posy rings were given by men and women as an expression of love, worn as wedding rings. This is an excellent example in good wearable condition.
