Stuart Period Gold & Royal Blue Enamel Finger Ring
This is a nice antique gold enamel finger ring, dating to the late 17th - early 18th century. The ring band is decorated with a fluted design, heavily enameled in a royal blue. The ring is an excavated piece, with some loss of the enamel to the band. This is a rare design, also found in late medieval and Renaissance jewelry. This ring is unsuitable for resizing, due to the design and enamel.
