Ancient Roman Intaglio of Sol Invictus on Horseback 18k Gold Ring
This is an ancient Roman carnelian intaglio, dating to the 2nd - 3rd century A.D. It finely cut with an image of the Roman sun god Sol, sitting on top of a horse, holding a whip. The intaglio is of an excellent quality and finely cut. It has later been reset into an 18k gold swivel ring.
