Code: 12369
This is a British Bronze Age, Rapier dirk, originally found at Kingscote in Gloucestershire. It is from the Taplow of Group II, which is part of the Acton Park metalwork assemblage (Burgess and Gerloff 1981, nos. 79-92). The elongated blade is twisted and broken, likely caused during combat with the twisting of the wrist in a target. Similar examples have been recorded from Shropshire LVPL-2D3369, Sedgemoor SOM-71AABB, and Bampton GLO-036A39. This example has a nice patina and is from my personal collection!
