This is an ancient Roman AE (Orichalcum) Sestertius, of Emperor Trajan, minted at Rome between 116 - 117 AD 

Obverse:  IMP CAES NER TRAIANO OPTIMO AVG GER DAC PARTHICO PM TR P COS VI PP "Supreme commander (Imperator), Caesar, Nerva Trajan, the best emperor (Augustus), conqueror of the Germans, conqueror of the Dacians, conqueror of the Parthians, high priest, holder of tribunician power, consul for the sixth time, father of the nation." Laureate and draped bust right.

Reverse:  PROVIDENTIA AVGVSTI SPQR, S-C "Foresight of the emperor. The senate and the Roman people. Decree of the senate" Providentia standing left, elbow resting on column, pointing to a globe at feet. 

This coin bears the longest obverse legend on A Roman coin. This is a very nice example with a nice portrait and with a good hoard patina.
