This is an ancient Roman silver denarius, of Emperor Domitian, it was struck at Rome in 95 AD 

Obverse:  IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM P M TR P XIIII "Supreme commander (Imperator), Caesar, Domitian, emperor (Augustus), conqueror of the Germans, high priest, holder of tribunician power for the 14th time" Laureate head right. 

Reverse:  IMP XXII COS XVII CENS P P, "Supreme commander (Imperator) for the 22nd time, consul for the 17th time, censor for life, father of the nation" Minerva standing left, holding thunderbolt and spear, shield at side.

A nice example in very good condition with an old cabinet tone.
