This is an ancient Roman silver denarius, of Emperor Trajan, minted in Rome between 98 - 99 AD 

Obverse: IMP CAES NERVA TRAIAN AVG GERM "Supreme commander (Imperator), Caesar, Nerva Trajan, emperor (Augustus), conqueror of the Germans" Laureate head of Trajan facing right

Reverse: PONT MAX TR POT COS II "High priest, holder of tribunician power, consul for the second time." Victory seated left holding patera and palm branch.

A nice coin, grading about VF
