Code: 12534
This is an intact pair of original bronze Celtic chariot terret rings, dating to the 1st century BC. This type of terret would have been used to guide the reigns on a chariot to a pair of horses. These are simple utilitarian terrets designed for function rather than decoration. It is unusual to find a matching set, indicative of being buried together, perhaps as part of a chariot burial (see The Garton Slack chariot for comparison).
