A beautifully decorative single leaf from a psalter book. On each side of the page are 15 lines of text written in brown and red ink in a script known as lettre-batarde. The initials throughout are drawn in red and blue with gold infills. A large empty border surrounds the small box of text, which can be read as Psalm 41: It begins on the page ‘a seculo z usque in secubi fiat fiat. Gloria pa untipna et enm homo pacis mee in quo spera in qui ederatpanes meas magnifica int super me supplanttanonems’ (from age to age, let it be. Glory to the one and only(unique), and let the man of peace, in whom I trust, in whom I eat bread, may he be exalted above me.)
