Code: 12313
This is a nice medieval bronze seal, dating to the 12th - 13th century. The seal is cut with a device of a rearing Stag. It is inscribed around in Lombardic lettering: +SE OLAVT DES BORDES reading as the seal of Oliver of the Borders, the stag relating to the wild animals and hunting game. The back retains the original suspension ring and it has a nice apple-green patina!
