Code: 13106
This is a fabulous Britannia silver dog nose spoon made in London by the eminent silversmith Samuel Hitchcock. The back is engraved with the crest of Charles Lennox, 1st Duke of Richmond (On a chapeau Gules turned up Ermine a lion statant guardant Or crowned with a Ducal Coronet) The date letter is rather worn so I have dated it from 1713 - 1719 based on his registered mark. The spoon is an excellent example with a rather splendid crest.
