This is an ancient Roman silver denarius, of Emperor Domitian, it was struck at Rome between 90 - 91 AD
Obverse: IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM P M TR P X "Supreme commander (Imperator), Caesar, Domitian, emperor (Augustus), conqueror of the Germans, high priest, holder of tribunician power for the tenth time" Laureate head right
Reverse: IMP XXI COS XV CENS P P P "Supreme commander (Imperator) for the 21st time, consul for the 15th time, censor for life, father of the nation" Minerva advancing right, holding spear and shield.
The coin is a good example, in excavated condition with heavy scratching to the surfaces.
