This is a wonderful Tudor period signet ring, dating to the 16th - 17th century. The ring is cut with an armorial, denoting this piece once belonged to a titled knight or lord. The arms (Argent, a chevron between three martlets Or.) possibly those of Bluett (Blewett) family of Holcombe Manor in Devon.
The ring is in excavated condition, retaining much or the original mercurial gold gilding. It has a cut to the lower band, though is perfectly stable and wearable with care.
