Late Roman - Anglo Saxon Gold & Garnet Finger Ring

This is a nice late Roman or early Saxon gold finger ring, dating to the 5th - 7th century A.D. It is set with a garnet gemstone, with a raised collet bezel. The ring was originally found in England, part of an old collection purchased in Colchester. It is a nice looking ancient gold finger ring, in good excavated condition - suitable to be worn again today with care!
