This is a wonderful silver-gilt armorial seal, dating to the 17th century. It bears a nicely cut coat of arms of a noble family, with a crescent-shaped crest. The matrice is worn down around the edges from successive generations of use, it still bears the original lemon yellow gilding to the surfaces. A nice piece of antique silver suitable for further research.
