This is an impressive medieval English annular brooch, dating to the 12th - 13th century. the brooch is made from bronze, cast with an integral pin. The brooch displays pseudo heraldic shields interspaced between crescents. The pin is solid cast and in excellent condition. The brooch is intact and a perfect excavated piece from the period of the Crusades. Similar examples of silver have been recorded as DUR-876052 & LANCUM-161CE7
