This is a fun Georgian gold posy ring, dating to the 18th century A.D. The thin band is delicately engraved in copperplate script, with what we can make out as "so tigt to icqire" possibly for "so tight to inquire" and a maker's mark. Such a thin band may have been one of the cheapest rings in the goldsmiths stock, his joke as the buyer would be too tight or mean to inquire the price, or to misly to buy the ring? Hopefully, we won't find any here!
