This is a fabulous Georgian pendant, dating to the early 18th century A.D. It is a large and showy piece, designed to hang low on the décolletage. It is set with one table cut diamond (paste) and a large faceted cornflower blue sapphire (paste). The pendant is made from silver, cut with rocker-arm decoration. Such a piece would have been eminently fashionable in notable circles during the reign of Queen Anne and the early Georgians.
