Code: 10361

This is a nice English medieval silver-gilt iconographic ring, dating to the 15th - 16th century A.D. The shoulders either side of the arris is decorated with engraved sprays of petalled flowers and leaves, the bezel engraved with the Holy Family, Mary, and Joseph.  Many similar decorative and iconographic rings are known, including Oman (1974) pl.22, B - E and pl.66, A - E, and an example in the collections of the British Museum (museum number AF.915). 15th century. See also LVPL-CB7086NARC-F8A45E and LIN-77CAE1 for discussion. This example is in good wearable condition, the band likely having an old repair or resizing.
