This is an ancient Roman silver intaglio ring, dating to the 2nd - 3rd century A.D. The ring is set with the original banded agate gem with traces of a faint inscription. Today the ancient ring has survived intact with no damage or restoration, the gem is still securely set with no movement, and can still be worn with care.
