Baroque Silver-gilt Reliquary Pendant

This is a nice Spanish Baroque silver-gilt reliquary pendant, dating to the 17th century. The pendant is decorated with filigree and twisted cable work, typical of the late Renaissance. The pendant is glazed and contains a relic buried within the wax, or the wax is from an 'Agnus Dei' (taken from the wax of blessed Easter candles). The wax contains a fragment of cloth or parchment.  A nice sacred object, worn for devotion and contemplation.
