Scandinavian Viking Oden Harness Mount

This is bold and very stylish harness fitting, dating to the 10th - 11th century A.D. The mount is of a cruciform shape, decorated with a facing head of Oden. The arms are decorated with punched crosses. Such an object may have been attached to a wooden casket, or leather horse harness. The style is very Scandinavian with puched work, though maybe pagan Saxon and the head of Woden.
