This is a fabulous Renaissance silver crucifix pendant, dating to the 16th - 17th century. The cross is formed from the branches of a tree, either side of a standing saint. The corpus is finely cast with good detailing. Pendants of this size and quality were often attached to paternosters, worn suspended from a belt. This is an exceptional museum-worthy example.
