Medieval Silver-gilt Fede Betrothal Ring

This is a medieval silver-gilt fede betrothal ring, dating to the 14th - 15th century A.D. The band is decorated with three panels, between three clasped hands. The panels are decorated with a cruciform design. The ring bears traces of gold gilding. Such a piece would have once been gifted to and worn by a young lady. A charming medieval ring in good excavated condition.
