This is a medieval silver finger ring, dating to the 13th - 14th century. The band is decorated with cross pattée design interspaced with scrolls. The ring is quite worn but intact, so the scrolls may have once been engraved with "Ave" or similar? It is an interesting type of ring, with possible Knights Templar associations, being found near Avalleur in France.
