Renaissance Decorated Bronze Finger Ring

This is a lovely Renaissance bronze finger ring, dating to the 16th - 17th century A.D. The plain oval bezel is set onto a decorated 'D' shaped band, decorated with a dotted pattern. This type of ring is occasionally found in gold and set with enamels, some being posy rings with makers marks, so the style is datable to the 1550's to 1620's. This example is intact with a nice dark patina. A choice piece in a good wearable condition.
