This is a nice Roman silver Siliqua of emperor Magnus Maximus dating to 383 - 388 A.D.
DN MAG MA-XIMVS PF AVG pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right
VIRTVS RO-MANORVM Roma seated facing on throne, head left, holding globe and spear
This coin was minted at Treveri (Trier, Germany), mintmark would have been TRPS. The mintmark has been clipped away - however, the shape of the bust and other stylistic features are only found on coinage from this mint. The clipping is a later feature, increasingly found on coinage after the abandonment of Britain (and Saxon migratory invasions) post 410 A.D.
