This is a nice Iron Age Celtiberian gold finger ring, dating to the 4th - 3rd century B.C. The hoop of the ring is decorated with a wrapped wire. This type of ring was known in Egypt, Africa, and Carthage. However, this piece was found in Spain, so likely predates the Roman conquest of Scipio Africanus in the late 3rd century B.C. The ring is intact, though the wire wrapping appears fragile with a few splits and some ancient resin visible on the bezel.
