This is a superb ancient Iron Age Celtic finger ring, dating to the 4th - 1st century B.C. The ring is decorated with four spirals in a lost wax method, forming a cruciform shaped bezel. Interestingly the ring has an old label, denoting it was originally found in 1941 (during World War II) in France, by a soldier where it was kept as his lucky talisman through the war until being sold by his family a few years ago. The ring is an excellent example, intact with a lovely apple green patina.
